Julianna Swaney grew up in the wilds of Michigan where she cultivated a love of bird watching. She graduated from Maine College of Art in 2005 with a degree in printmaking. Her work has been shown in galleries in Maine, Michigan, New York, and California. She loves and is inspired by birds, lace, natural history museums, sea creatures, Victorian hair sculpture, moss, and fairytales. She is currently residing back in the wilds of Michigan.
